It's officially wedding season! If you're in the midst of planning your upcoming wedding and want a little extra inspiration (of course you do!), you've come to the right place. We've got five trends for the upcoming season that will help you plan an unforgettable wedding. From boho florals to paperless invitations, and a few extras in between, we've got some ideas we know that you'll love. Keep scrolling to see our list of five things to keep an eye on in the coming year.

Corset Dresses

Brides will be looking to create an hourglass figure with their wedding dress as they prepare for their special day. Corset dresses are designed to help give the illusion of a smaller waist and wider hips, all while giving your bust a fuller appearance. They create a feminine silhouette that many women are looking to proudly show off, and this is the perfect dress style. Dresses with delicate details like lace and crystal beading help create an even more beautiful style, making it a top choice for brides in this new season.

Virtual Invitations

For the bride who is looking to save on time and money, and do something good for the environment, virtual invites are a great alternative to printable wedding invitations. There will be an increase in these types of wedding invitations, as people are becoming more concerned with ways they can help the earth around them. Just like their printable counterparts, they can be completely customized to your exact event specifications, and can be accessed instantly from anywhere. Guests can reply to their online RSVP's easily, and both parties won't have to wonder if their invitation will get lost in the mail. A true win win for everyone.

Top Color for 2022- Shades of Blue

One of the top colors to keep an eye out for this upcoming season is blue. Light blue shades like Kennedy Blue or richer toned cerulean will certainly be a very popular color choice for weddings, especially in the spring and summer months. Go all in by having your bridal party wear full blue, or add in smaller elements like blue wedding invitations or napkins at your wedding reception. You can even mix and match the color shades for a unique look, or keep it monochromatic if you're looking for a more minimalist style.

Statement Headpieces & Hairpins

Statement pieces such as large decorative hair pins and flower crowns are in for the 2022 season. Don't be too surprised if you see halo crowns or decorative headpieces as well. Many brides are choosing to add floral flair and jewelry to their wedding day hairstyles, choosing to leave veils and basic styles behind, having their headwear be the focal point of their bridal outfit. Boho crowns with florals to match your wedding colors can look beautiful and will go perfect if your wedding style is less classical. Brides whose weddings are more minimalist in nature will be adding jeweled barrettes or hairpins into chic chignons or dramatic updo's.

Boho Florals

Forget your standard floral bouquets- boho inspired bouquets are going to be very big this upcoming wedding season. Pampas grass, bunny tail cotton, palm leaves, and a variety of other plants and flowers create a unique but stunning composition. Dyed or colored pampas grass make for a pretty aesthetic and it looks beautiful mixed in with any type of flower. For a different look, neutral toned versions can turn heads and will have everyone asking about it. The beauty of this boho floral genre is that you can pick and choose from an assortment of plants and flowers to create a bouquet that is completely aligned with your own style.

BONUS - Destination Elopements

Over the last few years, couples have been opting to elope rather than have a large ceremony, and this will continue to be a big trend for the 2022 wedding season. Instead of having a quiet ceremony at a courthouse or at a family member's homes, many people are taking vacations to exotic locations and turning them into their elopement ceremonies. It's a vacation and a wedding all in one! Worried that other people won't be around for the big event? You can still incorporate your family in friends in your special day by sending them an elopement announcement with all of the details and a few photos from your wedding day to include them.
